The Twinsburg Karate Institute offers high quality martial arts instruction for
children, teens, and adults in a safe, family friendly environment. We
specialize in the instruction of Kajukenpo, which is the combination of Kenpo
Karate, (kicking, striking, and blocking), Judo and Jujitsu, (throwing and
grappling), and Chinese boxing.
Kajukenpo was first developed in Hawaii as a method for average people to
defend themselves. It is a system of self-defense that can be taught to almost
anyone and focuses on basic to advance techniques to enable one to defend
against an attacker.
The Twinsburg Karate Institute is owned by Family First Martial Arts LLC. It is
the newest member of the Karate Institute of America, a nationally recognized
and honored organization with schools in Ohio, and Michigan. The head
instructor of the Twinsburg Karate Institute is Sensei Reginald Brown, a third
degree Black Belt with the Karate Institute of America. Sensei Brown is a
Class A Certified Instructor of the Karate Institute of America. He has
competed and won in competitions in the United States and Canada.
From May of the year 2000, until May of the year 2008, he instructed students
at Twinsburg Fitness Center. Eventually the popularity of his classes
exceeded the facilities at the Twinsburg Fitness Center, prompting him to
move to a new 3,000 square foot facility, the Twinsburg Karate Institute,
located at 9224 Darrow Road in Twinsburg, Ohio.
